COOKING VLOG: THAI PEANUT BUTTER SAUCE CHICKEN

I thought I would do something different and do a “cooking vlog”.

A while back ago I remembered watching one of Ben Brown’s old vlogs when he made chicken with a peanut sauce using just peanut butter — I was intrigued. So, I thought I would just wing it and try it out. Unfortunately, because it was such a long time ago since I’ve watched that vlog I can’t remember which video it was. But regardless, you should go check out his vlogs in general. Him and along a few others are film makers that really inspire me to improve, not just in vlog form but in photography and making videos. Back to the “peanut butter sauce”.

Verdict: Turns out, it wasn’t that bad.

The sauce was a bit thicker and I definitely made more chicken than I thought because I didn’t even think the peanut butter sauce itself would be so filling as well 🙂

If I were ever to make this dish again, I definitely would make the sauce more less thick. Otherwise, everything else tasted pretty damn good!

Try it and let me know if you have any suggestions of what you would modify or try differently!

Thanks for watching!

CABIN TIMES AT YOUBOU

It was my friend, Kat’s birthday. And she decided this year to head to my friend Jen’s cabin for the weekend!

Every one was up there by the time my friend and I got there and I immediately wanted to head down towards the docks. I have a thing for docks so I was pretty amped.

It was only a short walk down towards the water.

The view was spectacular to say the least.

SWEEP ME OFF MY FEET

It’s the second to last day in Hawaii! 🙁 I’m so sad, but I couldn’t have had a better second-to-last day.

We went to The Four Seasons for lunch at The Beach Tree which was a patio restaurant that overlooks the beach that they had there.

While we were waiting for our table, I wandered over to the beach (because of course I did).IMG_0020 copy Continue reading

WATCH OUT FOR THE GREEN FLASH

We went to Cafe Pesto for lunch and I ordered a blended blue margarita and as much as I prefer it on the rocks, I thought the blended version was much better suited for the early afternoon.

POOL TIME + FAILED SUNSETS

It’s my third day in Kona, and today was just a “chill day” which consisted mainly of lounging by the pool and trying and failing at taking a time-lapse of the sunset. (I’ve improved on those in the vlogs following this one. Thank god).

Here are just a few photos that I’ve snapped throughout the day:

PICKING UP MY FRIEND AMY + ARRIVING IN VEGAS

On Tuesday I picked up my friend Amy at the ferry terminal and we did a couple errands before we headed back to my place.

At 4:45am, we were out the door and headed towards the Peace Arc Border to head to Bellingham airport. It is so much cheaper flying from Bellingham than the Vancouver airport to Vegas… just saying!  Continue reading

We are leaving today! We have to leave our campsite at 11am, andd I took this photo a little past 7 in the morning. I woke up once at 5am and then again an hour later and I figured it’s so nice out I really want to go down to the beach. So, I got dressed and told my friend Amy where I was going (because safety, kids).

I walked down and there were maybe a few people on the beach walking their dogs. It wasn’t windy at all! It was just perfect. Continue reading

Happy 4th of July, otherwise known as, the day we surprise my friend Sarah by having her stagette, camping at French Beach!

I met up with my friend Amy to pick up a few more things and then headed over to pick up one other person. The plan was that Sarah would be going hiking with her soon-to-be-sister-in-law and she knew she was having her stagette (so that part wasn’t really a surprise) but she didn’t know exactly where it was happening and who was going to be there.
