Backstreet’s back ALRIGHT! Second time seeing them in (maybe) 3 or 4 years??? With MUCH better seats and a MUCH better experience since the first time I saw them perform I was at the very top of the stadium and near the railing. It was so low, I thought I would fall over from singing and dancing.
They played ALL the classics that I still listen to on my “Throwback Playlist” I made on Spotify. It was EPIC!
I have to thank my friend Lindsey (http://lindseyblane.com) for asking if I wanted to be her +1 to go see STARS at the Vogue Theatre. I haven’t seen this band perform since Rifflandia 5 years ago! (photos here). Lindsay was there taking photos of the show and I stood right next to the sound station in the back. Continue reading →
I was not intending on seeing FIVE ALARM FUNK tonight. Honestly. I met up with my friend Darcy and we pretty much started the night at Phillips Brewery Tasting Room and then I wanted to do a “mini” pub crawl of all the sound boards that he has worked on or installed at various venues. Capital Ballroom just happened to be the 3rd and last venue we checked out that night!
This is (I believe) my 14th time taking photos of JON & ROY. You can imagine my joy when they played a SOLD OUT show at the Commodore Ballroom headlining for the first time! Which is like, a pretty big deal!
Aside from being very happy for my friends JON & ROY performing there first headlining (sold out) show at the Commodore Ballroom – I was equally just as excited to see OLD MAN CANYON. I’ve been a fan of this band since their 2014 album “Phantom & Friends”. Continue reading →
It’s been a good 5 years since I’ve last seen THE WILD ROMANTICS perform back at Rock of the Woods. Complete night and day!Since then they’ve gone through management changes, musical direction, and also a change in stage presence! And, I don’t hate it! I admit I may have a little bit of a crush on this Vancouver-band because there sound is so much different from what I recall all those years ago. Continue reading →
I didn’t get into town until close to 8 that night on Friday. I had just enough time to get home and drop off my bags and grab a quick dinner with my parents before I headed downtown to Sugar Nightclub.
I made it just in time to catch a part of ZOUBI AND THE SEA performing on stage. I swear in the two years since I’ve moved to Vancouver, more local bands have been popping up on the island since I’ve been away!
