HIKING LINDEMAN LAKE

This was maybe one of the more challenging hikes (so far) for me. Lots of incline, not enough breaths taken or exercise done to prepare haha

I TOTALLY CALLED IT

SURPRISE! Another mini-blog post from another weekend in Victoria! (I swear if there was a points system from BC Ferries I would be WINNING).

My friend’s birthday party was happening Saturday of that weekend, and luckily enough my friends JON & ROY were performing at Sugar Friday night! I figured why not go and take photos of it! And make an even awesome weekend BETTER! Continue reading

PHOTO ADVENTURE AND HAUNTED STORIES WITH KAT

This might have been the longest vlog I’ve posted (yet!)

Seriously, you never really truly appreciate your hometown, until you don’t live there anymore! The same is true EVERY TIME I go over!

It’s funny. Vancouver used to be the place I would travel to get away from Victoria. And now, the roles have somehow reversed (which I never thought possible!)

VISITING FAMILIAR PLACES

There’s just something about visiting places you used to go to all the time.  Everyone has those places.  It’s like a comfort blanket.  You go to these familiar places because it makes you feel safe and it’s been there for you through many tough times. Or maybe that’s just me?

Queen Alexander Beach is one of those places for me.

SHIPWRECKED!

For a more COMPLETE story of how this boat came to the shores of Cadboro Bay, you can read it up here.

Before I even went and saw the boat, I figured it was the same boat that was stranded at Gyro Park all those years ago. But it was indeed a different vessel.

The boat was completely stripped and weather-worn. Kids were playing around it and people were taking photographs that was situated right in front of the playground (which is ironically, also a boat).

SWEEP ME OFF MY FEET

It’s the second to last day in Hawaii! 🙁 I’m so sad, but I couldn’t have had a better second-to-last day.

We went to The Four Seasons for lunch at The Beach Tree which was a patio restaurant that overlooks the beach that they had there.

While we were waiting for our table, I wandered over to the beach (because of course I did).IMG_0020 copy Continue reading

DIGGING UP A BODY

The next morning we went to the Kona Pub + Brewery hoping to check out there brewery tours, but unfortunately we were not able to. So instead we just ate lunch there.

I tried there sampler which was any 4 (5oz) glasses of a beer of your choice. The four that I chose were: Duke’s Blonde Ale, Big Wave Golden Ale, Hula Hef, and Lavaman Red Ale. I didn’t get the Longboard Island Lager only because I already drank that earlier in our trip, which I also enjoyed.

WATCH OUT FOR THE GREEN FLASH

We went to Cafe Pesto for lunch and I ordered a blended blue margarita and as much as I prefer it on the rocks, I thought the blended version was much better suited for the early afternoon.
