I haven’t written a mini-blog post in forever! I’m slowly getting back into it.
After a few days of pouring rain in Vancouver (or Raincouver for those of us who live here), the sun finally came out. Not to miss this somewhat otherwise “rare” opportunity before more rainclouds decide to pour in, I joined my friend for a walk along English Bay.
I literally invited myself because I’m so jealous she lives 5 minutes away from a beach. Having used to living on the island (Victoria) for most of my life, the nearest beach from me was at least a 5-10 minute car-drive away. So I’ve missed living near one since moving to Vancouver (almost 2 years ago). Also I’m glad she baked cookies because I ate nothing after my trip to Costco earlier in the morning.
We discovered the “A-Maze-ing Laughter” bronze sculptures that Chinese artist, Yue Minjun, had done in 2009. I didn’t even know these were here! My friend told me the artist mimicked his own face to create these statues.
Suffice to say, we had some fun.
I’ll try and get back into writing more mini-blog posts along with my vlogs. Until then, thanks for reading and watching!
